Maid Strong is designed to address incidents of underage girls being placed in households as house helps and young girls having to engage in transactional sex for financial independence.
Meet Dr. Christiana Okechukwu, of Nigeria. She has created a world where opportunities are equal for everyone and girls are not preys. They envision a world in which women are empowered to achieve their maximum potential and youths have unfettered resources to develop into successful adults.
As the world seeks for a way to generate positive action for girls and women in combating violence against women, Inwelle Centre is launching its “Maid Strong: It’s up to me Campaign” for a sustainable strategy for fighting VAW. We visualize a world in which everybody accepts responsibility
Inwelle Centre envisions a world where equal opportunities for women, girls and vulnerable youths cannot be denied.

My name is Chizoba Ofoegbu. My first time at Inwelle Centre was in 2007 when I came to register for project success. From that very day I became a volunteer. I helped in all areas the centre sent me like registering and arranging books on the shelf, preparing the computer room for project etc. The boot camp really helped me to face and build up my future in so many ways.
With heart overwhelmed by joy, I want to say thanks to Inwelle Study and Resource Centre, Enugu. I will start by showing my gratitude to Prof. Dr. Christiana Okechukwu for her hospitality towards us throughout the boot camp. Prof, you have proved really that you are a virtuous and a disciplined mother. I want to say thanks to Inwelle Study and Resource Centre, Enugu
