INWELLE STUDY AND RESOURCE CENTRE

SOLAR SEMINAR

A burning desire to see youth succeed drove a one day seminar on solar energy technology and entrepreneurship which was held at the Inwelle Study and Resource Centre on August 22, 2016. Our challenges in Nigeria is that most of our graduates are unemployable; they just have papers without proper work knowledge.

We see a great need for entrepreneurship that is lacking in Nigeria. To take step in building the capacity of youth to acquire skills that will lead to starting their own business, the Centre in collaboration with a China based Nigerian businessman, Mr. Obeta, engaged an Engineer to teach basic solar Technology and conversion of sun to electricity for house hold appliances.

Modes of Empowerment

  • Carry out projects that will impart skills that will enable youths and women work and pay for tuition while going to school.

  • Educate families and the community on the need to channel youth energy into self- sustaining projects that will make them face adulthood with hope.

  • Provide a central place within one hour driving distance for the faculty and students and researchers in the higher institutions to go and research in an academic materially rich set up.
